Background
Starting with the Public Interest Law conference in October 2005, FLAC has built on the interest and momentum for this area of law in Ireland. There is a clear need for a reference point or hub for public interest law work. Thus the Public Interest Law Network (PILN) was established which has a core membership of some 600 members. PILA is building on this network and developing its capacity and potential in a range of new, exciting and effective ways.
PILA issues a popularly fortnightly Bulletin on domestic and international public interest law issues. As of December 2011, the PILA Bulletin has 1400 subscribers. You can sign up to the PILA Bulletin here.
