Who we work with
Participants at PILA’s Lawyers’ Network Meeting, 01 October 2009PILA seeks to bring together people committed to using law for the benefit of marginalised and disadvantaged people. It is only through a broad alliance of individuals and organisations sharing information and expertise that the use of law in the public interest can reach its full potential.
To develop public interest law in Ireland, PILA works with:
- academics
- community law centres and independent law centres
- individual lawyers
- law firms
- organisations working with marginalised and disadvantaged people
- students
PILA works with the Public Interest Litigation Support (PILS) Project in Belfast and has working relationships with individuals and organisations committed to public interest law in other countries.
Please also sign up to the PILA Bulletin, which is one of the main ways we stay in contact with members of the alliance.
