The class will look at recent developments in case law, including the CJEU case of MM, and will also be a practical examination of the preparation and presentation of subsidiary protection claims. The class is aimed at those who are actively engaged in advising and assisting with the submission of claims.

Enda O’Neill, is a barrister with practical experience of subsidiary protection applications and related Judicial Reviews in the Irish system. He is currently Director of the IRC’s European Database of Asylum Law. EDAL is a project funded by the European Refugee Fund which seeks to group together and summarise for the first time all significant case law relating to the Common European Asylum System. The database will soon cover 17 Member States, the CJEU and ECtHR
Sue Conlan, CEO of the IRC. For 17 years Sue specialised in immigration and asylum law and practice in the UK. She had a significant number of cases which were ‘fresh asylum claims’, an area of law and practice that she also trained on.
