ICJ Brussels – FAIR Project Training: 25th-26th May, Dublin

Date: 25th – 26th May

Venue: Dublin city centre training venue yet to be finalised

ICJ Brussels (in cooperation with Immigrant Council of Ireland) will deliver a 2-day training course as part of the FAIR project - Fostering Access to Immigrant Children's Rights) in Dublin on the 25-26th May. The training has a number of modules regarding use of EU and international mechanisms and will focus on a number of issues, including:

- Detention

- Family Life

- ESC Rights, in particular Housing and Education

The training is specifically for (20) lawyers working with, or interested in working with migrant children. To facilitate attendance by (10) practitioners from outside of Dublin, it will be possible to fund public transport (train) fares, meals and hotel accommodation for one night in Dublin. We would really welcome participation by lawyers from across Ireland, including Northern Ireland.

Attendance at the training will also provide the opportunity to be one of three lawyers from Ireland selected to attend a funded 5-day strategic litigation retreat in early October with lawyer colleagues from Ireland, Germany, Malta, Greece, Spain, Italy and the UK.

The Dublin city centre training venue has yet to be finalised but as the travel arrangements/accommodation will be booked directly by ICJ Brussels for all participants, those interested in attending are requested to save the dates and rsvp to catherine@immigrantcouncil.ie
