Linklaters: Pro Bono Associate, London, UK – deadline rolling
This is an exciting role supporting the Pro Bono Team to grow and develop the firm’s pro bono practice and strategy. It has a direct influence on the reputation of the firm. You will run with existing projects and innovate new clinics and virtual pro bono programmes and models, drawing on best practice globally, to ensure that we remain at the forefront of access to justice and increase participation across the firm.
The role reports directly to our existing Pro Bono Associate. Role responsibilities include:
- Taking responsibility for a number of our pro bono programmes and relationships day-to-day, as agreed with the team from time-to-time;
- Supporting team members with general management of the global pro bono practice, including review of new matters for strategic fit and compliance;
- Sourcing and innovating new virtual pro bono opportunities in line with our strategy;
- Contributing to the development of our communications strategy, co-ordinating and drafting our communications, presenting;
- Serving as a first point of contact for new volunteers, for our pro bono secondees and for new requests;
- Supporting our practice and office volunteer co-ordinators, helping the team build their capacity and leveraging this network;
- Assisting on the development of our race action pro bono work in the UK;
- Supporting our commercial client relationships with pro bono information and opportunities;
- Supporting the development of our monitoring and evaluation approach for the pro bono practice globally; and
- Team administration, with support from our Pro Bono Legal Assistant.
