Irish Refugee Council partakes in Europe-wide project on asylum seekers being transferred under Dublin II Regulations

The Irish Refugee Council (IRC) is the Irish partner for the Dublin II European Refugee Fund project. A Europe-wide project, headed by Forum Réfugiés, aims to provide information and assistance to asylum seekers who are being transferred under the Dublin II Regulations and allow for greater monitoring of the transfer system. Through a network of 13 partners, it is envisaged that the IRC will assist transferees by preparing them for transfer and liaising with them on arrival to ensure their streamlined access to legal, social and medical services.

Please find attached to this week's bulletin two documents; the Forum Réfugiés document outlining the details of the project; and a request for individual transferees who may be willing to take part in the project.
