Bingham Centre for Rule of Law has launched

Readers of the Bulletin may be interested to know about the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law, which launched at the end of 2010.

Named after Tom Bingham,it aims to be the "foremost institution of its kind specifically devoted to this vitally important issue worldwide". It is part of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law and its Director is Professor Jeffrey Jowell QC. It aims to conduct original research and analysis; organise seminars and conferences; hold an annual Bingham lecture; provide training on rule of law world-wide; and overall become a primary reference point about rule of law issues.
