Front Line seeks Admin and Publications Intern, deadline 5 August 2011

Front Line, The International Foundation for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders invites applications for an Admin & Publications Internship. The internship will be for 51 weeks to be based in Front Line's office in Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

The successful candidate will have practical experience in an administrative role. He/she will be good at multi-tasking, highly organised and committed to setting and meeting deadlines. He/she will be practically-minded and a problem-solver.

He/she will have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and a second language (French, Spanish, Arabic or Russian), a keen interest in books and written text in general and a very good eye to detail.

He/she will be able to work on their own initiative and as a member of a team. He/she will be proactive, flexible and co-operative. He/she will be able to demonstrate their commitment to human rights and their understanding of international issues.

During the internship he/she will be trained in relation to the day-to-day running of a dynamic and busy NGO and the role of Front Line and other national and international organisations in the support and protection of Human Rights Defenders. He/she will gain an insight into the courageous work of Human Rights Defenders around the world and the challenges of the environment they work in.

Honorarium: €1050 per month.
