IRC seeks European Database on Asylum Law Support Worker, deadline 29 August 2011

The Irish Refugee Council is seeking to employ a full-time Support Worker for a maximum period of four months to work on a joint project with the European Council on Refugees and Exiles, to establish a database of case law across 11 European countries looking at the application of the Qualification and Procedures Directives. Normal working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

Applicants must have a degree in law or a professional legal qualification, possess a detailed knowledge of refugee law and practice and subsidiary forms of protection including case law, have a detailed knowledge of key elements of the Common European Asylum System, experience of analysing and drawing principles from case law and experience with databases.
