Australian pro bono organisation has an economic impact of over AU$4 million

PilchConnect, an Australian organisation which provides pro bono assistance to not for profit organisations, has been reported to have had an economic impact of $4.3 million last year. This impact has included 'spillover impacts' such as 'operational improvements', which are of a great benefit to the greater community.

Professor Ian Harper, Director of Deloite Access Economics stated that "the report highlights the important functions played by PilchConnect in supporting Victoria's Not for Profit sector. "The report is deemed to be a first in attempting to put a figure on the free legal service by assessing the reduced drain on social services and health care."

PilchConnect is also associated with policy and advocacy which promotes improvements in the regulatory environment of non for profit organisations.
