Ireland Ratifies Environmental Convention that provides support for public interest litigation

Phil Hogan, Irish Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government announced to delegates at Rio +20, the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, that Ireland has ratified the Aarhus Convention. This convention promotes citizens' involvement in environmental matters and improves enforcement of environmental law.
