Volunteer Group Leaders, Future Voices Ireland - deadline 30 September

Future Voices Ireland, a widening access legal project based at the Law Society, are currently seeking applications for volunteer group leaders. The group leaders are involved in leading debates and group discussions with the young people participating in the project, which takes place every Saturday between the months of January-July. Volunteers work on a rota basis so you do not need to commit to every weekend and if there are particular periods when you have exams they can work around this. Volunteering with FVI allows volunteers the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the young people they work with, in a fun and lively environment tackling controversial areas of the law with high profile speakers. They provide training to all volunteers and also provide references.

Those interested should be enthusiastic law students/graduates or solicitors/barristers/trainee solicitors who have the ability to engage with and inspire young people. Please be aware that those selected will be required to undergo Garda vetting and will need to attend 2 Saturday training days to be held in November.

Please return completed applications ideally by 30th September to info@futurevoicesireland.org . We hope to meet for an informal chat with those interested in volunteering in mid-October.  Any queries on volunteering can be addressed to volunteer coordinator, Emer Lyons on 0879723367 or Mairead Healy on 0834470784 (after 6pm)
