Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed Annual Conference 2014 – 29 May

The INOU Annual Delegate Conference takes place in Dublin on the 29th May.

A number of policy motions are due to be discussed and debated at the Conference this year.

 These include calls on the Government to:

• Maintain social welfare rates and to re-instate the social protection supports reduced in recent years
• Introduce subsidised public transport for unemployed people
• Acknowledge the role and contribution of community and voluntary sector organisations at all levels of Irish society

There will also be time allocated for a roundtable discussion. Following on from a motion last year and feedback to the INOU, this year's roundtable discussion will look at the theme of Respect, Dignity and Fair Play.

The conference will be attended by delegates from INOU affiliates.
