The Irish Refugee Council is delighted to invite you to an important one day conference: Early Legal Advice for People in Need of International Protection. The Conference is aimed at solicitors and barristers who deliver legal advice and representation to those seeking protection, decision makers, policy makers, State officials in the areas of asylum and integration and professionals working with particularly vulnerable asylum seekers. 

Sessions will cover:

Practical Guidance on Early Legal Advice for Asylum and Subsidiary Protection Applicants in Ireland drawing on almost three years’ experience of the IRC Independent Law Centre’s early legal advice and representation initiative.

An EU perspective on Early Legal Advice, based on an IRC-led project and report funded by the European Programme for Integration and  Migration (EPIM).
