Oxford Human Rights Hub launches its Human Rights podcast

The Oxford Human Rights Hub is based in the Faculty of Law in Oxford University and encourages the protection of human rights and equality. This is carried out through the collaboration of policy-makers, academics and practitioners from around the world to share and learn different principles of Human Rights, to influence and to develop new policy approaches.

The Hub launched its Rights Up podcast, meaning keeping up to date with human rights and public law issues is simpler and more accessible.  The podcast looks at the most pertinent human rights issues of the day and discusses them with experts including practising lawyers, activists and policy makers for you to listen in on. Each podcast is well referenced online with all relevant international and domestic case law, any academic articles related to the subject and also a list of supporting organisations and campaigns making it a brilliant resource for practising lawyers, academics, students and activists.

The first podcast was launched on 8 May covering the topic of online harassment known as ‘Revenge Porn’ and whether there is a legal solution for victims of such abuse. The second podcast will be launched this Friday 22 May and will cover the debate over whether there is a benefit or a burden to ‘Human Rights for Business’.

Rights Up podcast is available for download on iTunes or can be listened to here.
