OxHRH Webinar: Is There a Refugee Crisis or Just a Crisis in Protection? – 11 November

The Oxford Human Rights Hub of Oxford University’s Faculty of Law, in conjunction with the Oxford Martin Human Rights for Future Generations, is hosting a webinar on the topic of ‘Is there a refugee crisis in Europe or just a crisis in protection?’.

The webinar will examine the basic rules and principles of international refugee law and the extent to which the EU and European States are meeting their obligations. The webinar will also discuss the problems faced by those seeking protection and the legal implications of various actions taken by refugees, such as the asylum process and attaining refugee recognition. The webinar will be conducted by Dr. Cathryn Costello and Dr. Guy Goodwin-Gill, and also incorporates audience interaction and a questions and answers session.
