Liz Gillis is from the Liberties in Dublin City. She has a Degree in Irish History and formally worked as a Tour Guide in Kilmainham Gaol, but now works as a Curatorial Assistant in RTE, specifically researching the 1916 Easter Rising. She has written four books about the Irish Revolution, ‘Ireland Over All’, ‘The Fall of Dublin’, ‘Revolution in Dublin 1913-1923’ and ‘Women of the Irish Revolution’ and has worked as a researcher on numerous publications covering the period. She has participated in many conferences and lectures focusing the Irish Revolution and has also developed a walking tour of the Liberties, concentrating on the revolutionary history of the area.
