Citizens Information Services: Citizens Information Service Advocates – deadline 7 October 2016

Citizens Information Services (CIS) are recruiting people with skills and experience in advocacy for a 2 year project to increase the advocacy service availability to the public. Successful candidates will work with people who need support in accessing their rights and entitlements to improve the quality of their lives. Citizens Information Services offer free, confidential and independent information, advice, assistance and advocacy to the public on civil and social services.

Ideally candidates will have worked in advocacy, information and advice roles and supported people to access their rights to social services.

As part of the project they are seeking to recruit 5 full time Advocates for a two year period. The 5 Advocates will work in the following areas: Kerry CIS, housing specialist; Cork City South CIS, social welfare specialist; Clondalkin CIS, social welfare specialist; Cavan CIS, employment specialist; Wicklow CIS, employment specialist.
