Irish Penal Reform Trust Internship Programme – deadline 2 December

The Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) is Ireland's leading non-governmental organisation campaigning for the respect of human rights in the penal system, and for imprisonment to be used only as a last resort. They publish a wide range of policy and research documents; they campaign vigorously across a wide range of penal policy issues; and they are the leading independent voice in public debate on the Irish penal system.

The Irish Penal Reform Trust is inviting applications for two Policy & Advocacy internship placements, working as part of the IPRT Team on the February – June 2017 programme, on a part-time basis. The interns will work as an integral part of the IPRT team, supporting their policy, research, advocacy and communications activities. Internships are unpaid, and it is important to note that IPRT will not be in a position to contribute to interns’ costs of living or accommodation in Dublin.

Closing date is Friday 2 November 2016, with interviews likely to be held on Friday 9 December 2016.
