Uplift: Office Campaign and Admin Support Worker – deadline 20 August 2017

Uplift is recruiting a Campaign and Admin Support Worker. The successful candidate will:

  • Support Uplift members and potential members via our distributed campaign platform MyUplift to start, grow and win campaigns.
  • Assist with the development of people powered campaigns by conducting research, and supporting strategies and plans.
  • Use digital campaigning and organising platforms, including Engaging Networks, ControlShift, SpeakOut, WordPress, social media and other systems to launch campaigns, communicate with members and engage potential members.
  • Liaise and support Uplift members through managing email communication and social media channels.
  • Provide administration support to the Uplift staff team including logistics, account management, data entry and preparing reports for funders and regulators.
  • Support the smooth running of events such as petition deliveries, rallies and vigils.

Uplift are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has the ability to use technology creatively (mass email, CRM tools, digital marketing) and can pick tech skills up quickly.
  • Has good  visual and written communications skills
  • Can organise campaign actions and logistics, from petition deliveries to public meetings.
  • Ideally has 1-2 years relevant experience. Should have at least some experience in one of the following areas: campaigning, communications, event management, digital marketing, community work, or digital campaigning.
  • Is super organised and likes ‘detail’.
  • Is optimistic and hungry for a challenge and is committed to the possibilities of achieving social and political change in Ireland.
  • Has some 
experience coordinating projects, finishing work on time and knows how to prioritise.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude in an environment that is fast, nimble and innovative including a willingness to take risks, fail and adapt.
  • Is a team player and has the ability to work quickly and collaboratively.
  • Excel and data analytical skills.
