London School of Economics International Inequalities Institute: Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity Programme Manager (Global Engagement and Impact) – deadline 10 April 2019

The Programme Manager (Global Engagement and Impact) will be responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of a global engagement and impact strategy directed towards Atlantic Senior Fellows for Social and Economic Equity. The post-holder will provide operational, programmatic and strategic support to the programme, with specific responsibilities for Senior Fellow (alumni) engagement, content and communications (learning, engagement, impact). 

The Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity (AFSEE) programme, housed within the III has been awarded £64 million from Atlantic Philanthropies to host 600 Fellows over the next 20 years. Atlantic Fellows are social change leaders with a deep commitment to building a more just and equitable world. The AFSEE programme comprises one of seven ground-breaking Atlantic Fellowship programmes which focus on racial, health and social equity through a range of engagements around the world, as well as the Atlantic Institute.

Its core purpose is to build a transformational, values-led community of Fellows that will collectively drive systemic change. The Programme Manager (Global Engagement and Impact) will be responsible for all aspects of relationship management, communications and events directed towards the Atlantic Senior Fellows community, and will lead in implementing and continuously improving a global engagement and impact strategy. The aim of the role is to foster a vibrant Atlantic Senior Fellows community that continues to grow and thrive beyond the completion of the programme, in line with the vision and strategy of the global Atlantic Fellows network.  

It is looking for a driven and inspiring individual with experience in building meaningful relationships across global networks, particularly at the intersection of social movements, civil society and academia. Ideally, you will have a good understanding of global inequalities, of trajectories for social change and be attuned to the needs of leaders who are working to bring about a more equitable and just world. You will be comfortable travelling internationally to drive or support Senior Fellow engagement opportunities. You will have experience in designing intellectually stimulating and transformative experiences that transcend a range of disciplines, allow for horizontal learning and peer-to-peer exchange and that connect to practical outcomes.
