McCann Fitzgerald recognised for pro bono by Women in Business Law Awards

Commercial law firm, McCann Fitzgerald, was named as the best national firm for pro bono work at the Legal Media Group Europe Women in Business Law Awards 2019. The award celebrates the pro bono activities undertaken by the firm that focus on women and diversity.

Through PILA, McCann FitzGerald has partnered with Women’s Aid to provide a legal advice clinic to support women experiencing domestic violence in certain legal proceedings and assisted Action Aid with a legislative mapping exercise as part of its global campaign on ‘Women’s Labour, Decent Work and Public Services’. Separately, it has commenced a secondment project with the Community Law and Mediation Centre, Coolock, which sees trainees placed part-time with the Centre to assist in its work to support vulnerable individuals.
