‘Challenging Injustice, Championing Change’: PILA Impact Report 2009-2019 Launch – 26 March

Date:     Thursday 26 March 2020

Time:    10am-11.30am

Venue:  FLAC, 85-86 Upper Dorset Street, Dublin 1

To mark over a decade of promoting public interest law, PILA (the Public Interest Law Alliance, a project of FLAC) will launch a report ‘Challenging Injustice, Championing Change’ on our impact so far.

The event will reflect on all that has been achieved to date, with a particular focus on the contribution pro bono legal services have made to organisations tackling pressing social issues.

We will be joined by a panel of NGO partners who will share how they have successfully furthered their impact through accessing PILA’s Pro Bono Referral Scheme. Speakers will include:

  • Damien Walshe, Independent Living Movement Ireland
  • Edel McGinley, Migrants Rights Centre Ireland
  • Rebecca Keatinge, Mercy Law Resource Centre
  • Robbie Sinnott, Voice of Vision Impairment
  • Tanya Ward, Children’s Rights Alliance

The event aims to bring together our network of individuals and organisations who have contributed to the success of the project through the years.

We also welcome those interested in using the law to advance social change who would like to hear more about how PILA can assist NGOs in achieving their mission.
