Two Moons Workshop: Making Human Rights Real for Older People – 25 March

Two Moons are running a free workshop on Making Human Rights Real for Older People using documentary theatre and talkback.

The project, Two Moons, an Erasmus + project, is developing accessible resources to inform and enhance older people's knowledge of their human rights and how these rights should operate in practice (see information leaflet here).

Resources being developed include

  • Two Moons My Human Rights, My Wellbeing booklet which shares older people's experiences of infringements of human rights
  • A documentary Theatre script which links monologues recounting infringements of human rights of those living with dementia, stroke and family violence into a play, see script here
  • A guide to hosting the Two Moons documentary theatre and talkback and educational package containing individual monologues as audios.

As part of the project they are running a free workshop with the Gaiety School of Acting on Wednesday 25 March in the Lab, Foley St, Dublin 1.

The workshop will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to deliver the Two Moons Documentary Theatre and Talkback to their audiences. The training will take place over one full day and provide an overview on delivering the monologues, staging the play and facilitating the talkback.
