Senior Solicitor – Scottish Women’s Rights Centre

JustRight Scotland is recruiting for a talented and dynamic female lawyer to lead and develop their strategic legal role within the Scottish Women’s Rights Centre (‘SWRC’).

The SWRC is an inclusive, unique and collaborative project which aims to improve outcomes for women in Scotland who have suffered gender-based violence, bringing together the expertise of Rape Crisis Scotland, the University of Strathclyde Law Clinic and JustRight Scotland’s experienced team of human rights lawyers.

This is an exciting post in a varied role which will include the opportunity to contribute to the development of the law and practice in Scotland and the UK. The post will involve outreach, legal casework, policy, training and research, as well as partnership working across the expert network of organisations involved in this project.

Candidates must have experience in litigation and be committed to tackling gender inequality, human rights and working to achieve social justice.

Location: Home-based & JRS Offices – Glasgow with travel expected around Scotland

Salary: £37,700 – £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience, per annum (8% employer pension contribution)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Benefits: Flexible working, 37.5 days holidays (pro rata, inclusive of public holidays)

Caseworkers (x2) – Scottish Women’s Rights Centre

JustRight Scotland is recruiting for two female caseworkers (one part-time post and one full-time, job share would be considered) within the Scottish Women’s Rights Centre (‘SWRC’).

The SWRC is an inclusive, unique and collaborative project which aims to improve outcomes for women in Scotland who have suffered gender-based violence, bringing together the expertise of Rape Crisis Scotland, the University of Strathclyde Law Clinic and JustRight Scotland’s experienced team of human rights lawyers.

These posts are funded until 31 March 2021 with further funding to be sourced.

If successful in either post, you will work under the supervision of SWRC solicitors to assist its solicitors with its frontline outreach and legal casework as well as its work in pubic legal education, training, research and policy.

Location: Home-based & JRS Offices – Glasgow with travel expected around Scotland

Salary: £20,000 per annum (pro rata) (8% employer pension contribution)

Contract: Permanent, 1 Full-Time post & 1 Part-Time

Benefits: Flexible working, 37.5 days holidays (pro rata, inclusive of public holidays)
