IHREC: Higher Legal Executive – closing date 30 November

The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (the “Commission”), Ireland’s national human rights institution and equality body, was established in 2014 through the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission Act 2014 to protect and promote human rights and equality and to encourage the development of a culture of respect for human rights, equality and intercultural understanding in the State. The staff of the Commission work in four teams policy and research, strategic engagement, legal, and corporate services.

The Commission is now seeking a suitably qualified and committed individual to take up the role of Higher Legal Executive within the legal department. The Higher Legal Executive will play a central role in the development and management of the legal department’s support staff and office systems. The role will involve engagement with external stakeholders including clients, counsel, the Court Service and will have day-to-day responsibility for management of staff and delivery of support to litigation teams.
