Law Centre NI: Cross Border and Frontier Workers Webinar – 28 January

Law Centre NI with Border People are running a free webinar looking at the new UK government Frontier Workers Permit scheme and NI issues.

The UK’s exit from the European Union has led to extra responsibilities being placed on cross-border workers. Though the UK government has put in place schemes to ensure that EEA nationals can continue to work across the border, they have received little publicity. The new arrangements for cross-border working are complex, potentially confusing and could have a significant impact on these people’s lives. It’s vital, therefore, that high quality advice is in place to support EEA nationals as they work through the new measures.

To help the sector to provide this advice, Law Centre NI in association with Border People is running a free webinar for advisers and caseworkers on 28 January. Held via Zoom, the event will provide an in-depth look at the new UK government Frontier Workers Permit scheme and Northern Ireland specific issues. It will be presented by Annemarie O’Kane of Border People and by David Hawkins of Law Centre NI, both of whom will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the new arrangements. We anticipate that this event will be extremely useful for advisers working on both sides of the border.
