IHREC: Human Rights & Equality Grant Scheme Information Events – 18 & 19 March

The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission will soon be accepting applications for its Human Rights and Equality Grant Scheme 2021-22. 

The Commission is running information sessions on Zoom on 18 and 19 March from 11am-1pm to provide details about its 2021-22 Grants Scheme to local community and national civil society organisations working to advance equality and human rights who are interested in applying.

The sessions will also provide information on the Public Sector Equality and Human Rights Duty and the role of civil society in its application, monitoring and implementation. 

Activities eligible for grant support include

  • Training and capacity building
  • Research, legal, and policy analysis
  • Education and training resources
  • Conferences, seminars, and workshops
  • Creative and participatory engagement initiatives

The Human Rights and Equality Grants Scheme is open to civil society organisations, including community and voluntary organisations, groups representing area based communities that address poverty and social exclusion and communities of interest protected under the nine grounds of the Equality legislation, and trade unions.

The Human Rights and Equality Grants Scheme will open on Friday, 12 March 2021

Please register for an event by emailing RSVP@ihrec.ie with the date of the session you would like to attend in the subject line. 

When registering please feel free to request any special requirements, for example,  accessibility, ISL interpretation. This will help us in preparations for the event.
