ICI host free online CPD on providing Legal Assistance to victims of human trafficking and migrant victims of domestic violence

Immigrant Council of Ireland to host free online CPD session on the topic of providing legal assistance to victims of human trafficking and migrant victims of domestic violence.

Date and Time of CPD Session

The training session will take place via Zoom between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm on Thursday 22 July 2021 and will qualify for two hours of CPD.

The training will be run by Jennifer Okeke Campbell, the Anti-Human Trafficking Officer of the Immigrant Council of Ireland, and Mary Henderson, Solicitor in the independent law center of the Immigrant Council of Ireland.

Topics covered by Jennifer Okeke Campbell will include:

  • What is gender-based violence?
  • What is human trafficking?
  • What are the indicators of gender-based violence and human trafficking?
  • What supports are available to such individuals?

Topics covered by Mary Henderson will include: 

  • Residence permissions in Ireland
  • Information on specific provisions for migrant victims of domestic violence 
  • Information on specific provisions for victims of human trafficking
  • Information on support services available in this area
