PILA are delighted to welcome Daithí O'Maonaigh to the team. 

Daithí works as PILA Administrative Assistant alongside PILA Legal Officer Danielle Curtis BL. He graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Law (LLB) Degree from the Institute of Technology Carlow and is currently studying for a Master of Law (LLM) Degree at UCD Sutherland School of Law focussing on Corporate Governance, Data Protection Regulation, International Tax Law, Copyright Law, White Collar Crime, and International Commercial Arbitration.

He has studied a broad array of subjects at Honours level including Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, The Irish Legal System, Legal Research & Communications, Legal Practice & Procedure, Tort Law, Employment Law, Media Law & the Digital Environment, Contract law, The Law of Evidence, Equity & Trusts Law, Consumer Protection Law, European Union Law, Company and Charities Law, and Land Law & Succession.

As a former QQI Tutor, education is very important to Daithí and he is passionate about bringing legal education and awareness to those directly affected by its absence, particularly within marginalised communities. He is an advocate for the underdog and will leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of justice and fairness.
