IHREC Submits Contribution to the 4th Progress Report on the Fight against Trafficking in Human Beings in the European Union

In October 2020, the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC) was established as the National Rapporteur on the Trafficking of Human Beings, in accordance with Article 19 of the EU Directive on preventing and combating trafficking in human beings and protecting its victims.

IHREC is Ireland’s National Human Rights Institution and National Equality Body, established under the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission Act 2014. This is IHREC’s first report to the EU NREM network, in reference with Article 20 of Directive 2011/36/EU.
