Legal Aid Board Seek Managing Mediator

The Legal Aid Board is an independent, publicly funded organisation which provides family mediation, civil legal aid & advice and vulnerable witness related services. We are also responsible for the administration of a number of ad hoc legal aid schemes.

Family mediation services are provided free of charge from 16 locations, a number of which are co-located or in the process of being co-located with law centres.

We currently have a vacancy to be filled in either Dublin or Galway for a Managing Mediator.

A Panel will be established from which we may fill temporary and permanent positions in the 12 months following the Panel’s establishment.

The salary for mediators ranges from €66,547 to €73,798 via 8 annual increments (which are subject to satisfactory service). Two long service increments, payable after a further 3 and 6 years, bring the salary scale to €76,253 and €78,715.

The Board offers extensive opportunities for further training and there are opportunities to advance to other positions within the Board.
