Migrant Rights Centre Ireland: Caseworker Traineeship

Hours of work: 35 hours a week

Duration: 1-year fixed term contact

Reports to: Drop-in Centre Manage

Remuneration: €25,500

Holidays: 25 days per year with 8 additional set days

About the opportunity

The Migrant Rights Centre Ireland recognise that it can be hard to break into this line of work, and also recognise that this is a learning and development role, so no experience is needed to apply. You will be trained into this role through a variety of on-the-job learning and structured training, with all the supports necessary for you to thrive. This traineeship will support you to develop a range of hard and soft skills to aide your professional development.

At the end of the casework traineeship, you will be able to deliver information and advocacy supports in a fast-paced working environment and have valuable knowledge and experience of the immigration system, of workplace rights and social welfare entitlements. You will have developed experience with CRM systems and increased your IT skills. You will have honed your written, interpersonal, advocacy and communication skills. You will have developed team and collaborative working practice, problem-solving abilities, time management and prioritisation skills for employment.
