PILA: "What Can Pro Bono Do for Your NGO?" - Monday 9th June, FLAC Offices

This year, Pro Bono Week takes place between 9 June and 13 June. PILA, along with members of Pro Bono Pledge Ireland are organising a range of events for our NGO community.

Join us on Monday, 9 June for an in-person session exploring how your organisation can benefit from free legal assistance. Titled "What Can Pro Bono Do for Your NGO?", this event will feature lawyers from leading law firms and barristers pitching their pro bono services directly to civil society organisations. You will gain practical insights into:

• Information on how to avail of pro bono legal services as a member of a charity, NGO or civil society organisation
• The types of legal assistance pro bono lawyers can offer NGOs and civil society organisations
• Typical time frames involved in providing pro bono work
• How to approach and engage with pro bono lawyers effectively
• Challenges which may be encountered in the relationship between a civil society organisation and a pro bono lawyer and how to address them
• Introduction to PILA’s Pro Bono Referral Scheme and how it operates
• Q&A segment during which pro bono lawyers will directly answer questions from attendees
