Community Law & Mediation (CLM) is delighted to announce an updated public legal education programme for 2026!
We will be running free 1-hour Know Your Rights talks to local community groups on topics such as Wills and Probate, Safety Orders, Housing Maintenance and Mediation. If you know a local community group interested in a talk, please register your interest here. CLM continues to lead an annual Legal Eagles school education programme with two local schools in Coolock. Over several weeks, we work with transition year students to participate in a variety of interactive workshops in collaboration with organisations such as Aoibhneas, the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL), Sports Against Racism Ireland (SARI) and the Law Society.
We cover topics such as Garda Powers (Stop & Searches), Healthy/Unhealthy Relationships, Racism and Sexism.
Art and creativity are central to our education programme. In 2025, CLM organised an educational Zine Making workshop with artist and facilitator Robyn Gill. Students from our Legal Eagles programme created Know Your Right Zines about the lessons they learnt on Garda Powers (Stop and Searches) and Consent.
These resources are now available online to print for your own community group or school. Read about our Know your Rights Zine Workshop at the CLM Dublin office, to find out more.
This year CLM is also offering public training in areas including Social Welfare Appeals, Education Rights, Mediation and Conflict Management, and Environmental Law. Check out some of the currently available courses. We also continue to offer tailored courses to individual organisations and requests can be made on our website.
