JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POSITION OF LEGAL OFFICER (FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
Job Title: Legal Officer: Limerick Office
Employer: Community Law & Mediation (CLM)
Reports to: The direct line report is to the Solicitor based in our Limerick office.
Salary: Details available on request Hours: 19.5 hours per week
Either 3 full days, 9.30 – 5.00pm or 1 full day and 4 mornings.
CLM is open to flexibility on how these hours are worked.
Duration of Contract: Fixed term for 1 year, subject to successful completion of a six-month probation period.

Background to CLM: Community Law & Mediation (CLM) is a community based, independent law centre and charity providing services nationwide and operating in two locations: Dublin and Limerick.
It was founded in 1975 and assists almost 6,000 people/issues annually through its services, which include free legal advice and representation; information and education; and mediation and conflict coaching. CLM also campaigns for law reform, and for the safeguarding of rights already enshrined in law. In 2012, we opened a second community law centre in Limerick.
We operate out of two locations, Dublin and Limerick, but our services are available nationwide. This position is based in our Limerick office.
