Save the Date: Pro Bono Week 2026
PILA would like to introduce you to the lineup of events celebrating the pro bono work done by the legal profession in 2025.
Monday 8 June – Launch of the European-wide Pro Bono Week (Online).
This year, the theme is of the week is: Reinforcing Pro Bono Ecosystems: Building Partnerships That Last.
Tuesday 9 June – Pro Bono and the EU Pact on Migration & Asylum (In-Person, DLA Piper LLP Offices)
The event will bring together private practice and in-house lawyers alongside NGO and public-sector representatives for a discussion on pro bono engagement and the New EU Pact on Migration & Asylum (which comes into effect that same week). This event will consist of a panel discussion with UNHCR, IRC, and ICI, followed by networking reception.
Wednesday 10 June, 9-11am - Legal Information Event (Hybrid, A&L Goodbody LLP Offices)
This event will provide legal update sessions on employment law, company governance, GDPR, charity law and the role of the company secretary. This event is for Pro Bono Pledge Ireland members, as well as NGOs, firms, and practitioners who are interested in gaining practice insights in the areas outlined. Legal professionals from Ireland’s leading law firms will deliver the sessions, while PILA members will discuss best ways to engage with our services. The education sessions are followed by an in-person networking session.
Thursday 11 June, 4:30 pm – Pro Bono Celebration Event (Online at the Law Society of Ireland)
This event celebrates and promotes the pro bono work undertaken by lawyers in Ireland over the past year. The legal professional bodies of Ireland will provide thought leadership and discuss the duties of legal professionals in relation to pro bono. PILA will launch the Pro Bono Impact Report 2025.
