Tom Flynn, SC will set the stage presenting an overview of some of the key developments and proposals followed by a panel discussion chaired offering differing perspectives and discussion which includes:
After a light lunch we move on to the second panel: The Landscape for the rule of law, International Law and Human Rights at an International level with a further panel TBA.
However, I am also delighted to be able to share with you at this point that we will be joined by: Blinne Ní Ghrálaigh, the leading Human Rights and International Law expert whose work many of us watched closely in the context of her representation of South Africa before the International Court of Justice in the Case Concerning the Application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (South Africa v. Israel), and also: Associate Director, EU Advocacy of Human Rights Watch, Claudio Francavilla; and Dr Andrew Jackson, Lecturer and Asst Professor UCC School of Law. Further details of additional participants and the panoply of perspectives for this internationally focused panel will follow.

The intention is start at 10:30am for a brief welcome and then for the Keynote address, followed by the first panel. We will break for a light lunch, and then move into the second panel with a small reception after to facilitate networking and further dialog.
