Crossroads: Understanding Rising Hate and the Changes Needed to Support LGBTQ+ Communities in Ireland

Crossroads are inviting LGBTQ+ adults living in Ireland to take part in CROSSROADS: Understanding Rising Hate and the Changes Needed to Support LGBTQ+ Communities in Ireland.

This anonymous survey is part of a national research project led by the Sexual Health Centre in partnership with NB Social Justice Studio and funded by the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission.

Rationale:
Across Ireland, many LGBTQ+ people are telling us that something has changed in recent years. Experiences of hostility, discrimination, misinformation and exclusion are increasingly being reported in public life, online spaces, and everyday interactions. We want to better understand these experiences and identify the practical changes needed to support safety, dignity and belonging for LGBTQ+ people.

The survey asks about experiences of:
• Safety and belonging
• Discrimination and hostility
• Online experiences
• Housing and services
• Community support
• Public life in Ireland today

The survey
:
• Is open to LGBTQ+ adults aged 18+ living in Ireland
• Takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete
• Is anonymous and confidential
• Allows participants to skip questions or stop at any time

We particularly welcome participation from trans and gender-diverse people, whose voices are essential to this research.

By taking part, you will help shape a wider research report and recommendations for policy, services and community support across Ireland.
