PILA/Marriage Equality Invitation to address from Evan Wolfson 15 November 2010

PILA and Marriage Equality would like to invite you to listen to TIME magazine's one of the 100 most influential people in the world, Evan Wolfson talk about his work as a lawyer in the movement for justice and equality for same sex couples in the US.

Geoffrey Shannon, family lawyer/expert will also address the need to legislate for the children of same sex parents and Brian Barrington BL will address other gaps in the Civil Partnership Act 2010.

Ireland has come to a point in history in terms of rights and recognition for same sex couples with the passing of the Civil Partnership Act 2010 and ahead of the Supreme Court appeal in Zappone & Gilligan v Revenue Commissioners , expected to be listed for hearing in February 2011. We would be delighted if you could attend this address from the world's leading gay rights lawyer with interjections from Irish practitioners which we hope will stimulate the debate for the future.
