Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights: Deputy Head of Human Rights – closing date 8 June 2020

Headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is the principal institution responsible for human rights, election observations, and the promotion of democracy in the OSCE region.

The Human Rights Department assists OSCE participating States in fulfilling their obligations to protect and promote human rights and fundamental freedoms, particularly in areas that lie at the intersection between human rights and security.

The Deputy Head of Human Rights will report into the Director of the Human Rights Department, and take a leading role in strategic planning and implementation of the department’s strategy. The Deputy Head of Human Right will coordinate and oversee projects in thematic areas including, but not limited to, human rights monitoring, human rights education and capacity building, human rights, gender and security, human rights and antiterrorism, and human rights and anti-trafficking, among others;
