Public Interest Litigation Support (PILS) NI have two Vacancies

PILS MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR

PILS PRO BONO COORDINATOR

The Public Interest Litigation Support (PILS) Project is a Belfast-based non-profit committed to supporting local organisations to use the law in a creative way to protect human rights and equality.

2022 heralds the start of an exciting new phase of PILS’ development as an organisation. From our origins as a pilot initiative, PILS has matured into Northern Ireland’s dedicated support service for litigation in the public interest.

Now, the project is looking for two staff members – one Membership Coordinator and one Pro Bono Coordinator - to help the organisation maximise its impact across Northern Ireland.

  • The Membership Coordinator will develop and grow PILS’ membership network of law firms and NGOs, in addition to assisting the PILS Director with casework applications for support from PILS’ members.
  • The Pro Bono Coordinator will manage and grow PILS’ Pro Bono Register, matching requests for pro bono support from PILS’ membership network with the legal volunteers on the Register.

The posts are currently funded for three years.
